1. ATTENDANCE
Please sign in when you arrive and when you leave. It is important to attend every day . Please call the office if you are going to be absent for more than three days. If you are absent for more than a week without contacting the teacher you will be dropped from the class
2. PARTICIPATION
It is important to participate in class. Be willing to talk, read and write English. This is why all students are here. Please check the “extras” folder for any papers that you missed when you were absent. Also, please get the name and phone number of two classmates that you can call or get notes from if you are absent.
3. SUPPLIES
Bring paper, a notebook , a pen/pencil to class everyday. You also need to bring your dictionary. Dictionaries can be purchased in the main office or at any bookstore.
4. COMPUTER LAB
We will go to the computer lab a week. No food, drink or gum in the lab. Do not use the computer for personal use during class time- NO music, chat, my space. If the computer use contract that you signed during registration is broken, you will not be allowed to use the computer lab. Please make the best use of this time, there are wonderful programs and websites in the lab.
5. COMMON COURTESY
• Keep cell phones silent. Take phone calls outside.
• Sharpen pencils before or after class, not while the teacher is talking.
• Respect others opinions, religions and cultures. Be positive.
• Don’t talk when others are talking.
Please let me know if you have an interest in learning about a certain topic or idea. I want to help you in any way that I can.
